Just Scratching The Surface
After visiting the PayPal FB page and finding TONS of people having the SAME issue as I have, this got me digging further. Below is just some of it. https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUSA To add your name to a potential class action suit, click PayPal Fraudulent Charges
I found a substantial number of reports matching cases where consumers say transactions were unauthorized, PayPal rejected the fraud claim, and in several cases used language such as the transaction being “consistent with your payment history.”
A particularly important distinction: these are consumer reports and complaints, not proof that every allegation is accurate. But the repetition of very similar complaints—especially involving multiple rapid transactions and PayPal Debit Mastercard claims—is worth documenting. PayPal’s own current policy says eligible unauthorized transactions can carry $0 liability, making denials of alleged unauthorized transactions especially relevant.

The June 9, 2026 report involving 18 PayPal Debit Mastercard charges stands out to me because it is remarkably similar to the circumstances you described: a longtime PayPal customer, numerous same-day charges, an obviously abnormal pattern, the debit card being shut down, and PayPal allegedly denying the disputes anyway.
There is also a potentially significant common phrase appearing repeatedly across completely unrelated reports over several years: PayPal determining that disputed transactions were “consistent with your payment history.” That language appears in complaints involving transactions in foreign countries, numerous rapid-fire charges, hacked computers/accounts, and transaction types the customers say they had never previously made.
